چکیده

This paper considers the view that basis of equality is range property being a moral person. view, suggested by John Rawls in his A Theory Justice (1971), commonly dismissed literature. By defending against criticism levelled it, I aim to show this dismissal has been too quick. The critics have generally failed fully appreciate fact Rawls's account restricted domain distributive justice. On justice matter fair terms cooperation among participants system social cooperation. argue understanding can provide compelling rationale for considering personality as morality. That persons are indeed equal further supported an intuitive argument concerning irrelevance morally arbitrary factors, giving us reasons believe varying capacities does not result unequal status. thus premature, and it remains important consider.
